This is one of the greatest books I have ever read. Really. I also don't what to do with myself now. I mean, does anyone actually stop to appreciate how hard it must have been for Leigh Bardugo to think up this giant plan for getting Kuwei safe? That is like master level!
Thoughts on the Characters:
Kaz Brekker (Dirtyhands, Bastard of the Barrel, Demjin): Hmm... What do I say about him? There aren't any good enough words to describe him. There are words to describe the feelings I felt when I read that he bought a ship for Inej AND found her parents for her! Here it is: love. That is what I felt; love. I felt love for Kaz, Inej, The Wraith, Inej's parents, and anyone or anything that was involved in that moment.
Inej Ghafa (The Wraith, Little Lynx, Bronze Girl): I truly don't know what to say about her either. She is just amazing! I am a bit disappointed in what she did to Pekka at the end though. He deserved it, but that doesn't mean that she should have been the one to do it. I do think that there could've been a bit more relationship-ness (I know, that isn't a word) between her and Kaz, specifically a kiss. I do understand why they didn't though. I am SO happy that she got to see her parents!!!
Nina Zenik (Corpsewitch, Little Red Bird): My poor baby!!! She doesn't deserve to be left with no one! Kaz has Inej and Jesper has Wylan! She doesn't deserve to be left alone!! Now, to get serious. What. The. Crap. I mean, she can control dead people?!?!
Matthias Helvar: Nooooooooo!!!!!!!! Why did he have to die?!?!?!?! Nina needs him to survive. Waffles can't love her back!!!!! I understand that Leigh Bardugo has to kill someone and I don't want anyone to die, but still!!!
Jesper Fahey: My baby!!! It is about time that Wylan and he kiss!!! They are so cute!!!! If they don't stay together forever, I am going to kill someone.
Wylan Van Eck (Merchling, Wylan Van Sunshine, Twelve kinds of trouble, Wy): My other baby!!!! If anybody lays a hand on him!!! I swear!!!! When he got fake beat up, I about had a heart attack. I thought it was real, and I was like "Nooooooo!!!! You can't hurt him!!!!" Honestly.
